I'm looking for opinions regarding live video streaming services. Which companies offer the most stable, feature rich solutions? Mandatory features would include the ability to stream a live feed from a standard def or high def source that can be embedded on a blog, recorded and archived. Chat and video conferencing are also important features. Robin Good posted up this comparison which was very helpful (but it's a year old and some of these services have disappeared or have been aquired by other companies).

A friend of mine once showed me Qik, an amazing app available on most mobile phones.

What Qik allows you to do is conduct a live stream from your phone to your Qik profile on the web. You can send alerts to your pals by having Qik automatically shoot up a link to your Twitter and/or Facebook feed/s when you begin streaming, and what you record is also by default, archived. If you want them on youtube, there's an option for that. With GPS enabled, Qik can describe your location as well.

If you feel the spontaneous need to stream something on the go, I don't think you can get better than Qik. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if other sites offered similar services.

Use the STICKAM "player" on your own site or blog to instantly play live videos, photo slide shows, or music. Or if you don't have your own site, simply use Stickam to create your own free profile page to post multimedia content, and to chat.
