How to Get Your Nexus One to Automount a microSD Card
If you're looking for a way to have your Nexus One automount the microSD card when you connect it to your computer via USB, then check out this handy app from doubleTwist. The app's single function is to set your Android device to automount the microSD card. This should be a setting in the OS, but it's not (as far as I can tell). This is a major issue with new Android users. People used to the iPhone or other devices automounting storage when they connected to USB were sorely disappointed to find out they had to complete an extra step before they could continue.
