The Missing Manual does the book come with a disk so i can have a desktop version of the book as well, or maybe a way to get a download of the book free? If so would it be searchable?

If you buy the book in dead tree format, you can get a searchable PDF from O'Reilly for $5 more. Either buy them together from the O'Reilly page at http://oreilly.com/c.../9780596803483/ or, if you buy the book elsewhere, go to My Account, Registered Books, register the book and then you can buy the ebook for $5 using the code MB5UP.
I believe O'Reilly tends to prefer to make stuff available online rather than on CDs; you can download practice files for the book at http://missingmanual...toshope8wintmm/ |
