How do I input different fiber optic sources into my home theater amp?

I have a Home Theater Sound System with one Fiber Optic Audio Input port. But, I have a Cable Company DVR, a PS3, and a HDTV, all with their own Fiber Optic Audio Output. All I have found available are Fiber Optic Cable Switches, which allow one to select which Fiber Optic input to send to the output (In this case to the input of the audio system.)

I won't be using my PS3 and watching cable television at the same time, so why should I have to switch between them. I would have to physically turn a selector switch every time I used the remote control to change from watching a TV program, to playing a game, or watching a Blu-Ray movie.

Is there any way I can have multiple inputs to one output without having to physically switch something?

I do use HDMI for all three, which does give me pretty good sound quality, so will upgrading to Fiber optic audio cables improve the quality enough to notice? If I have to choose only one item to send Fiber Optic Audio from, which should it be?
