I noticed another PDF distribution was also having the same issue (HTML and XML) and it appears that an updated pdf fixed this?
Anyway, the book text displays just fine on the iPad, using iBooks, but no images are displayed.
Is there a work around for this?

No Images on the iPad with the PDF "Head First Python"1 Reply
Hi Eddie,
We actually rectified this image problem on Friday. If you go to your oreilly.com account media page and redownload the PDF, you should get a revised file that works on iBooks on the iPad. Apologies for any convenience you've experienced. We're revising our processes for producing PDFs of Head First books to prevent this problem from occurring moving forward.
