UPDATE: Just got a lot of friendly tweets advising that iOS and MacDev subscribers have access to it as part of their subscription. My bad on that.

Is $5 for Apple's Xcode fair?
Xcode is great development environment, it's free, and it's been getting better with each release. Now Apple has released Xcode 4.0 but it costs $5 off the App Store. From free to $5, is that right?

I say free to subscribers, charged to everyone else. There is no dispute that the tool is a great deal and deserves a revenue stream. I just think if I pay to be a developer that this is part of that payment.
