We have a flex application that generates individual pdf reports based selection criterion but our requirement is to generate one single PDF report. OR Is it possible to store individual generated PDFs temporarily and then merge or combine them into one?

I'm not going to mark this response as an answer, let's just call it a possibility. There is an open source project for product called PDF SAM (Split and Merge). It's a Java application and it has components to manipulate PDF documents. There is a specific component to merge PDF files. While this isn't in Flex directly it may be something that you can use in conjunction with your application.

Another possibility is AlivePDF which works with ActionScript: http://alivepdf.bytearray.org/
