Microsoft Office and SQL Azure

At the recent Microsoft Tech Days / United Kingdom 2011, Andrew Couch, MVP, and author of the forthcoming Microsoft Access 2010 VBA Programming Inside Out, presented a session titled, "Microsoft Office and SQL Azure."

This session provided an introduction to placing an on-premise SQL Server database into SQL Azure, and focused on how existing Office Applications that are used for BI and Application Development can continue to function when directly connected to SQL Azure.

Andrew shared his own experiences of assisting companies in moving the data, developing multi-tenanted solutions, managing security, and refining the application design. You can watch the presentation here.
