recovery.gov is a site that was created to help track all of the money in the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, a collection of grants, loans, targeted spending, and tax cuts valued at $787B USD. While the recovery.gov site offers some interesting UI, the bulk of the data is presented using Flash and images. If you are looking for the raw data about the recovery, you will need to download a series of very large XML files.

To download these raw data files, go to: http://www.recovery....s/DLCenter.aspx, and download one of the following files:

http://www.recovery....s/contracts.xml [15M]

http://www.recovery....iles/grants.xml [159M]

http://www.recovery....Files/loans.xml [42M]
