While reading an article "How to Make a Resume" I found that there is a huge difference between CV ( Curriculum Vitae) and Resume. Most of the countries especially Westerns use Resume for getting jobs and CV ( Curriculum Vitae) for Academic works and education. In there point of view Resume carries the professional experience, education and skills of a person and in CV the goal is to get complete BIo details, education, and Skills of a person mainly required for further studies.

For further details I am sharing a great video which will tell you in depth difference between Resume and CV.

I personally think it's just semantics. I am originally from a Latin American country, and the term "curriculum vitae" basically means your "sheet of life".

We used the term "curriculum" to refer to what Americans (and others) call a resume, and also whatever the other thing was.

Since the term comes from Latin, I believe our use of the term adheres more with its true meaning.

What do you think?
