I cannot add non-local Permissions, viz. Fig. 8-6 'Windows 7 Annoyances.' Help!

1 desktop & 1 laptop running Win7 Pro; 1 desktop w/ Win7 Home Premium; all 3 in same Workgroup. 'Computer\UserName' tip rejected, multiple times. Each system can see the others in Win Explorer; each can see shared folders/files -- but read-only. What could be thwarting this tip? Extreme gratitude in advance for your help, TaxCPA

Thanks for jumping on this, Rachel! I've lost a couple days' optimum functioning to this -- e.g., having to swap files with thumb-drives! It's so retro. TaxCPA
