Word 2010 -- the highlighting I did in an earlier version disappeared!

Hi, all --

I opened my Word 2003 document in Word 2010 for the first time today, and to my shock & horror, all my laboriously created highlighting was gone. (Document is 120+ pp. long and I indicate the changes I'm adding with green highlighting; other editors used other colors.) This is a month's work.

Is there some setting in the new Word that restores highlighting for docs created in older versions of Word ? I didn't see it in the File tab, Options choice.
