Plase let me know where/how I should look for them so that I can practice the lessons

You can download and view the code examples from this book at www.headfirstlabs.com/books/hfhtml/ in the Book code and downloads section. You can either download the zip files of all the files in the book, or you can download or view them chapter by chapter. elixer.html is in the Chapter 2 files.
