There are two different O'reilly books that appear to be on using SharePoint with Project. Both of them by the same author, Dux Raymond Sy.
Here's the question(s):
First, there's a several year difference in publication dates. Is the new book, SharePoint 2010 for Project Management just an expansion and update of the older book, SharePoint for Project Management: How to Create a Project Management Information System (PMIS) with SharePoint, or are both books useful.
Second, are there other good books/references on incorporating Project and SharePoint?

SharePoint 2010 for Project Management is a new edition of SharePoint for Project Management. I'd recommend the newer edition. This book is about using SharePoint for project management in general, not only about SharePoint and Microsoft Project. Chapter 8 covers integration with project management tools, like Project and Excel. If you're looking for information specifically on Microsoft Project, you might be interested in Microsoft® Project 2010 Inside Out and Successful Project Management: Applying Best Practices and Real-World Techniques with Microsoft® Project .
