I need to work with Canon Vixia HFS 21 MTS files and I also want to be able to backup video files to my family Kindle Fire HD and share with my family. Files were recorded in 1920 by 1080 resolution. Can you recommend the best format about converting these MTS files for playing on Kindle Fire HD?

You need a Video Converter, with which you are able to convert and customize output video resolution. For Kindle Fire HD, its display resolution is 1280 by 800, you have to downsize video resolution to make the playback smooth and playable. Try Pavtube Video Converter (http://www.pavtube.com/video_converter/), it contains a Kindle Fire HD video format, no need to worry about the output video resolution.

Kindle Fire HD Supported Video formats: MP4, 3GP, VP8 (video playback at 720p)
So your AVCHD .mt files will not play on Amazon Kindle Fire HD because of unsupported format, . Here’s a solution for people who feel like watching AVCHD MTS/M2TS videos on Kindle Fire HD. By converting AVCHD AVCHD MTS/M2TS videos to 720p MP4, your HD recordings become compatible with the Kindle Fire HD tablet.
Required software: Pavtube AVCHD Video Converter for Mac
