Facetime network question.

I could not find a definitive answer to this by searching the web.
After facetime connection has been made, is the connection peer 2 peer between the two devices (their ip:s) or does the data pass through some intermediate server by apple? (not counting the hops on gateways to get through)

Short answer: yes, it is P2P
