Is it possible to add text to a photo in iphoto 08? I use iphoto as the main editing software and although I also have CS4 and could use that I would prefer to add a title that will print in the photo via iphoto.

You can print a photo with a caption using iPhone '08. These are the steps:

  • Select one or more photos and click File -> Print.

  • Choose one of the print options on the left (Standard, Contact Sheet, etc.) and then click the Customize button.

  • Click Layout and choose option 2 or 4 - both of those support captions.

  • Click the caption area below the photo and type in your caption. To change the font and size highlight your text and click Edit -> Fonts -> Show Fonts.

To save the image with the caption click the Print button (bottom right) and select "Save PDF to iPhoto" from the PDF drop-down menu.

To do anything more complicated than this with text I think you need to use another photo editor, like CS4.
