Do you have a user experience (UX) process in your organization? If not, why? If yes, what is it?

We have a huge UX and design department - about equal in size to our development group. Their process follows a fairly typical discovery and design process, incorporating a discovery workshop with client stakeholders and a long period of in-depth user research with real users. User research iterates as we crank out new design prototypes and preferably never ends until the application is finished.
