Depending on what project you're working on or what new programming skill you're improving, you could have any range of books on your bookshelf or covering your desk. Here's a shot of my bookshelf at work. What does yours look like?

Here's a slightly out-of-date shot of my bookshelf, but it should be enough to give you an idea on what I work on every day. :-)

Sad to say, but almost no physical reference books close at hand. Most of mine are digital so I have them with me wherever I go. I do have a Drupal and an iPhone programming book near right now, but that is about it. Most of the books on the shelf beside me are all about vintage British sports cars, auto racing, and auto repair!

Well, the picture I attached is the bookshelf in my cubicle. As you can see there is a large number of computer books there. :)

Most of my work-related book reading is done via Safari Books Online these days, as I can just search through books to find the answer I'm looking for there. I also have a couple O'Reilly books on my iPhone, and have used them twice via Stanza to reference something.
