I need an eBook/Audiobook Solution

On weekends I like to take the bus to destination all over the Bay Area. Some Saturdays I go to the City, and shop, or site-see, some Sundays, I take the bus to Muir Woods, and hike.

While at the Bus Stop, waiting for the bus, I love to read, but on the bus, it is sometimes to bumpy, so I like to listen to audio books. Same thing when I am hiking, not easy to read, but easy to listen.

Problem is, this means I have two books going at the same time, which is fine, but I would rather keep my attention and interest in one story line, or subject matter.

Now that I have a iPod Touch that can both play audiobooks, and display eBooks, I wish there was something that would allow me to slide from page to page, and then at will, "play" the audio book from the page I left off.

I realize that this would require an investment in both media.

Some Blu-Ray discs I have rented have an option to view story-boards and even scripts while the movie is playing, which is interesting.

Both eBooks and Audiobooks would have to be created from the outset to be compatible with this kind of technology, I suppose.

I will leave this on my wish-list for the future.
Build a man a fire, he'll be warm for the night. Set a man on fire, he'll be warm the rest of his life.

If I understand what you're saying, you're looking for a synchronized ebook/audiobook player, correct? That's a great idea for an app!

Until that app manifests itself, you might want to take a look at the Bookmark app. If you're a heavy audiobook listener you know what a pain it is to have iTunes loose your place. Bookmarks allows you to add any number of bookmarks and notes throughout the book. It's also easier to navigate a book using Bookmarks time ribbon.
